Welcome To Waymart Area Authority

The Waymart Area Authority was organized by the Waymart Borough and Canaan Township in Wayne County, Pennsylvania for the purpose of providing Wastewater Conveyance and Treatment service for both Municipalities.

Currently the Waymart Area Authority (W.A.A.) services approximately eight hundred residential and non-residential customers as well as the State Correctional Institute, Federal Bureau of Prisons, the Salvation Army Facility, and the R.D. Wilson School.

The Waymart Area Authority (W.A.A.) operates for the health and safety of all residents in the service area and those downstream of our effluent.
